The female day – let’s burn the braws !
Today in norway it’s something called the female or womans day. This is something that generates heated discussions over many lunch tables all around. Me? I have a kind of a ambigious relation to it.
Do we really need a womens day? Yes, why not? We should celebrate it, but on what grounds? There’s definitly some areas within equal rights that still haven’t been met, but I don’t think that a women’s day will change the world. Or even make one woman get equal pay or fair treatment. But it does keep the debate open. So yes, why shouldn’t we celebrate it?
