For the days when your own hands are just not precise enough, the Gentleman’s Ball Scratcher is in the shape of a delicate female hand, for those hard to reach places. The 9 inch handle provides excellent extra length to help get around difficult obstacles (beer bellies, old pizza, empty beer cans etc.) and provide the relief so many crave.

I have been wanting a notebook for a long time. A small computer I can just put in my bag and have with me everywhere I go. I have for a long time been reading every rumor that has been available on the iPad, so when it was launched I swallowed everything I could find about it, and then I started comparing it to what I want in a notebook. The iPad fell short quickly because of two main reasons:

• HDMI, there isn’t a way to connect it to a TV using HDMI. When looking at the iPad specs it also haven’t a good enough resolution to support it. I want a a computer that I can easily connect to a tv and watch films with as little hassle as possible. Plug-and-play, baby!
• Portable keyboard. The iPad supports a pluggable FULL-SIZE keyboard. But, I don’t want a full size keyboard. I want something small and easy – a small, portable, foldable Bluetooth keyboard like the Stowaway iGo keyboard.  Unfortunately, that doesn’t exist yet – as in there is no drivers on iphone (iPad just seems to be a large version of iPhone without telephone capabilities) that recognizes it.  I have seen one video where it works with a jailbreaked iphone on an apple bluetooth keyboard, but that keyboard isn’t very foldable – and still full-sized.

My conclusion is therefore that I will not purchase an iPad any time soon. I will instead go for a notebook sometime before I go on vacation. But  what notebook to buy?

I watched Graham Norton (love him!) yesterday and he had Isabella Rossellini as one of his guests. She was promoting her short films titled “Green Porno“, and I saw a couple of clips which had me laughing hard. Though it was funnier when Graham showed it.

I work at a Linux company, and it seems like most of my co-workers (including myself) use ubuntu as their operating system. With that as my background, I find this video very amusing.

60 minutes had an episode once about the difficulties in understanding and using technical manuals. In this new technological era we all experience technical problems. This can range from setting up the new television or printer we just brought, some software on out computer fails, or just understanding the words in a menu. We read the manual, written by engineers in a language that aren’t suited to non-technical people, and we get more and more frustrated as things just doesn’t behave in the way we expect them too. At the same time we get afraid of doing something irreversible, that just fucks up everything.

There’s a South Park episode that is hilarious in that regard. Chef and the boys are sitting in front of the tv to see “The Russel Crowe Show”. Chef wants to show off his new TV which has “more features than a space shuttle” and in his confusion he manages to enter “H.E.M” – Human Eradication Mode.
