I got a free Kobo ebook called “Soul Identity”. Interesting theme combining technology and reincarnation. I also like listening to relaxing/meditating audio material. My favorite one is “Blessings” by Julia Cameron. Another favorite book of mine is “Loving from Your Soul” by Shepherd Hoodwin – deals with human relationships, always a source of challenge!

A queue runner scans the mail pool and starts a delivery process on a single message. So a queue runner doesn’t do mail receivement/deliveries, but start a delivery process that deliver mails.

I interpret the queue_run_max as a failsafe or a way to ensure that your system isn’t maxed out. I have yet to find info on when queue runners die. I have seen many defunct queue runners that quickly dies, but I don’t know what makes the queue runner die in the first place. So what your limit should be on queue runner depends on your system and what it can handle.

A little confused about the difference between queue runners and SMTP deliveries — are they the same thing? For example, you say: “Change max number of queue runners that can exist simultaneously in /etc/exim.conf: queue_run_max = 50″ and above that, “In /etc/init.d/exim I changed this option: QUEUE=5m. This ensured that a new queue runner was created every 5 minutes. ”

So one queue runner every 5 mintus equals 12 in an hour, yet you also say queue_run_max = 50 so it seems you would never hit that limit.

Oh, and I really can’t recommend Kindle DRM Removal. Underneath it uses the same scripts (although usually older versions) as the very easy to use stand-alone tools and calibre plug-ins at Apprentice Alf’s blog.

You NEED samba for NetBIOS lookup.

If you dont install samba, other windows machines on the lan must access with the server ip,

\\192.168.1.100\alfresco

I you install samba the windows machines on the lan can access like this

\\myubuntuserver\alfresco

I went ahead, after going back and forth, and jumped at the Kindle DX. My sense is that perhaps the Kindle Fire will take the place of the large e-readers and that both Amazon and Barnes & Noble will stick with the small “paperback” size Kindle. When traveling, I have certainly seen people reading books on their iPad and expect to see the same with the Kindle Fire, which they mention constantly for reading magazines. The tech wave tends to favor the “smaller is better” philosophy, so I wanted to get a DX before they were gone.

Nei, jeg spiser ikke fisk eller sjømat. Hvis de spiser sjømat så er de pescetarianer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pescetarianism

At folk som spiser sjømat eller kylling kaller seg vegetarianere ødelegger faktisk for de som er vegetarianere. Jeg har opplevd flere ganger at jeg har vært på restaurant og sagt jeg er vegetarianer også foreslår de retter til meg med kylling eller sjømat.

Spennende bok! Vi bruker mye grønt i matlagingen og har funnet ut gang på gang at maten hadde smakt like godt uten kjøtt eller kylling

Som veganer spiser du vel ikke fisk heller? (jeg er ikke så inne i dette). Har et par på jobben som er “veggiser” og de spiser reker (jeg skjønner ikke det der, men men)

I have wondered about reader(s) with inbuilt lighting – can it be turned off?

If it can be turned off then it will not have such an impact on battery life, and becomes a feature instead of a nuisance.

I appreciate the thoughfulness of your article. I made the gut-wrenching decision not to purchase the Kindle DX because of concerns about it being discontinued and the fact that the firmware is not being updated. I fear that the new Kindle models will have the larger screen but with the backlight. I may breakdown and purchase it but now that I let the $120 discount pass. It will be harder to stomach the purchase price. Thanks for your article. Its good to know I am not the only one out there with the same experience and concern.
